How it works

The rules are fixed and identical for everyone, because the directory is only worth advertising on for as long as readers trust the order.

    Every placement is labelled

    Each one carries a SPONSORED strip in the chartreuse used nowhere else on the site. It is never omitted and never made subtle.

  • 02

    One placement per screen

    No page ever carries two ads. The bar and the dock are never sold twice over, and neither runs alongside a second placement.

  • 03

    Ranking is untouchable

    Order comes from the published health formula alone. Sponsorship cannot change a score, a rank, or the position of any list, and a sponsor is never shown as a top pick.

  • 04

    Products that fit

    Sponsors must be open-source or self-hosting-adjacent. A closed SaaS competing directly with the listings is not a fit, whatever the budget.

  • 05

    Monthly, no lock-in

    Cancel any time, invoice on request. Click counts come from the cookieless analytics already running, so there are no tracking pixels and no third-party scripts.
